Why I started all of that & maintaining it

At some moment, I notice that I getting fucked by big-tech…

The internet has become a bloated mess. Huge JavaScript libraries, countless client-side queries and overly complex frontend frameworks are par for the course these days.

Privacy is not for sale, and human rights should not be compromised out of fear or greed.

— Pavel Durov

At some point of my life I started asking questions. Why? Cause I sick/tired of this. What “this”? Very small part in form of questions in my head at that point in time:

So when I got answers for all my questions I started taking control back.

We don’t have to ask for our privacy, we can take it back.

— Edward Snowden

Basically I started replacing software I use with privacy respecting alternatives. Most of the software became open source. I got rid of M$ Office, Chr0me/M$-Edge and most of the development toolchain successfully. At some moment I successfully got rid of M$ Windowz (most hardest part), but still used big-tech services and sites. Later I learned about the existence of libre-frontends and they changed my life. Literally. Page on Quora/Medium/Reddit now readable and loads fast, LibreTranslate not harvesting everything I type, Gitea just based and works without JS. And I decided to contribute into improving the state of browsing internet and internet decentralization.
